The "So What?" Test: Making Every Word Count
Here's a little trick I use to make sure every part of my content packs a punch: the "So What?" test.
After each paragraph, I ask myself, "So what? Why should my reader care about this?"
If I can't answer that question, the paragraph gets the chop.
It's brutal, but it ensures that every word in your content is working hard to provide value to your reader.
Applying the "So What?" test:
- Review each section and ask how it benefits the reader
- Ensure every paragraph contributes to your main point
- Cut or revise content that doesn't provide clear value
- Always tie your content back to your readers' goals or challenges
Remember, authoritative content isn't about showing off how much you know.
It's about communicating your expertise in a way that resonates with your audience and compels them to take action.
Master these elements, and you'll be well on your way to becoming a coaching content authority!
